Excel Precision
manufactures laser heads of two different sizes. Model 1001A and
1001F are equal in size, and have a smaller footprint than the model 1001B.Mechanical
variations of these are available on special order.
Excel Precision uses a two frequency laser and advabced techniques to ensure that the laser head produces stable frequencies to better
than 5x10-8.
Further, to ensure that all Excel Precision's lasers have calibration traceability to accuracy, an in-house standard is calibrated periodically by the
National Institute of Standards and Technologies (NIST, which was formerly known as the National Bureau of
Standards).
The Excel
Precision Laser Head is one of the most accurate measuring tools for length standards in
the world. When used in conjunction with Excel
Precision optical and electronics product components, the laser offers exceptionally high
accuracy as well as exceptionally high repeatability.
